Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited was founded in 1948 and is the largest non-franchised public bus operator in Hong Kong in terms of fleet size, with over 1000 buses. Besides public transport service, Kwoon Chung is also the holding company of Lantau Tours Limited, Trade Travel (Hong Kong) Limited and New Lantau Bus Co. (1973) Ltd., which is the franchised bus operator on Lantau Island.

Kwoon Chung was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1996 and has operations in over 10 major cities in Mainland China, including Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing. The total fleet size in China is over 2,000 buses, employing over 10,000 employees.
